Weather in the 80's,have put away our winter clothes!!! Carl looked up and found local National Coastal Rail Trails and we headed out in the morning. Cool temps, beautiful shaded trails and old railroad bridge going over the Suwannee River. We met several other bikers and one very slow moving snake crossing our path.. Since this was our first ride of the year we kept the mileage down to about 12 miles--We are drinking lots and lots of water...

On our way back to camp site we stopped at Manatee Springs State Park ,which is home to one of Florida's largest freshwater springs. The park is a winter refuge for West Indian manatees,(we didn't see any)alligator warnings were up and we saw Water Moccasin snakes. Water temps out of the spring was 72 degrees, several people were scuba diving down into the spring, some families with children were snorkeling--tubing.
